Brittany Wright Méndez

LTP, EA | Senior Manager

As a permanent resident in the US, tax affairs can seem somewhat complex at times. Brittany answered every crazy question I had.

Thoughtful. Dependable. Analytical. Our resident salsa dancer has a flair for expatriate taxes.

On a trip to Mexico when she was 13, Brittany discovered she didn’t like to rely on translators. In a move that would shape her life, she decided then and there to learn how to speak Spanish.

The language bug stuck, and Brittany earned a degree in Spanish and a degree in International Relations at Gonzaga University. While at school, she also enrolled in a Latin dance class to spice up her solid repertoire of ballet, tap, and jazz. A few years later, she would meet her husband out salsa dancing in Portland.

With her language skills and affinity for working with people from around the world, Brittany is a natural fit for our expatriate tax team. She helps expatriates and U.S. citizens working abroad navigate tax time as fluidly as she glides across the dance floor.

A natural teacher, Brittany also trains our pool of tax preparers each year. With two young daughters, fitting everything in is tricky, but Brittany manages to craft and bake with her girls—while taking every opportunity to go salsa dancing with her husband.
