When Matt and his wife moved to Portland from Charlotte, they didn’t know a soul. Resourceful and sociable, they quickly tapped into Portland’s thriving Virginia Tech alum group (Matt’s alma mater), and found their community. Not surprisingly, Matt brings this same kind of friendly efficiency to his role as audit senior manager at Perkins. He has a natural affinity for numbers that goes back to childhood and a precision that makes him a superb auditor.

A quintessential Portlander with a 1920s Laurelhurst home and an infectious zest for the Blazers, Winterhawks, beer fests, and live indie music, you’d never know that Matt is not an Oregon native. A Marine kid, Matt was born in North Carolina and has lived in California, Hawaii, London and Washington DC. In London, he discovered one of his lifelong passions—ice hockey. Between playing late-night hockey matches, being a rock star auditor by day, and savoring the Portland life, Matt is one busy guy.
