A southern California girl, Lisa grew up basking on the beach, road tripping to Mexico—and eventually became a music industry agent. From music festivals to nightclubs, she negotiated deals and chased budgets while representing touring artists and booking talent at San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall and West Hollywood’s Troubadour.
While the job had its perks, Lisa grew restless, wanting to cash in her California dream for a life of helping others. After talking with her most trusted advisor, her dad, she decided to earn a certificate of advanced accounting at Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business.
Accounting turned out to be the answer. Drawing on her business acumen, Lisa now helps Perkins’ clients fortify their tax positions with a discerning eye and smart planning. In off hours, she’s learning to bake bread, no doubt with her beloved pets—a tuxedo cat, a blue heeler, and a rescue terrier—at her feet.
