Adrienne Cantrell

Optimistic. Grateful. Loyal. Temp agencies were her path to a rewarding career in accounting.

A CPA who began her journey in bookkeeping, Adrienne never envisioned herself in an accounting career. When she first entered college, she thought she might become a teacher like her parents. But college wasn’t for her—not at first—so she tried her hand at temping.

It proved to be a fortuitous move. After working in mortgage investments, owning her own travel agency, and dabbling in other jobs, she eventually found herself processing 1099s for an accounting firm—and something clicked.

Wanting to learn more about the field, Adrienne enrolled at the University of California Fresno in her 30s, earning a business degree with an emphasis in accounting. From there, she accepted an audit position at a venerable Fresno accounting firm established in 1917 and became a CPA—eventually becoming the firm’s Director of Administration.

Uniquely qualified to help expand and structure our fast-growing client account services niche, Adrienne feels she’s returned to her roots at Perkins—and we’re thrilled to have her.

In her spare time, Adrienne expands her optimistic worldview through frequent travel and hopes to visit Africa and Asia someday. For now, though, she happily enjoys knitting while listening to audiobooks and spending time with her husband and family.
