Daniel Platt

Friendly. Caring. Hardworking. Or, as his kids would say, as kind as Ant Man and clever as Dr. Strange.

The second of three rambunctious brothers, Daniel grew up in SW Portland playing lacrosse and tromping through building sites with his contractor dad. It was no surprise, then, when he chose to pursue architecture—but not lacrosse—at the University of Oregon.

A few courses into his degree, however, Daniel realized architecture was not for him, so he tapped into his talent for business and math, earning a bachelor’s and master’s in accounting. Recruited by Perkins straight from college, Daniel knew he chose the right path as soon as he began delving into business details to help clients solve problems.

While he’s traveled to Amsterdam, Rome, and Paris, Daniel is staying closer to home these days, raising two energetic preschoolers with his wife. While they’d love to take a Mediterranean cruise, they’re settling for fun on the playground, short hikes in the Gorge, and cheering on Daniel as he runs the Hood to Coast race each year.
