Yulia Sharapova-Leamy

Well-read. Intelligent. Warm. A literature-loving accountant who is at home with books of all kinds.

From spy novels, to classic Russian literature, to the poetry of Pushkin, Yulia adores books. Her day is not complete until she has enjoyed at least a chapter or two of her latest bedside read. With her love for literature, it is no surprise that Yulia earned her first degree in library science from a university in Russia. But it wasn’t until she moved to the U.S. from her home in St. Petersburg that she discovered an affinity for another type of books.

While keeping financial records for a family business in the States, Yulia discovered accounting. The field intrigued her and demanded the same precision, organization, and reliance on systems inherent in the field of library science. She returned to school for a business education and graduated summa cum laude from Eastern Oregon University.

A Shareholder at Perkins, Yulia specializes in international tax and tax compliance for the food services, real estate, distribution, and technology industries. With her disciplined, creative approach to work and her warm personality that puts clients at ease, Yulia has raised accounting to an art form.

In her spare time, Yulia enjoys playing tennis, though she is no relation to tennis pro Maria Sharapova. “You’d know that in an instant,” she quips. “My serve is terrible.”
