Understanding. Approachable. Responsible. The nonprofit navigator with a love for numbers and a knack for making an impact.

Ross’s path to becoming a Nonprofit Tax Director stems from a unique combination of family influence, a passion for helping others, and a love of numbers. His natural interest in sports statistics as a child growing up in Northwestern Pennsylvania set the foundation for his fascination with data, leading him to pursue accounting as a career and following in the footsteps of his father and brothers, all of whom majored in accounting. While early college accounting classes tested his resolve, he stayed the course and never looked back.

Now at Perkins, Ross proudly wears his title as a champion for nonprofits as our Nonprofit Tax Director. From ensuring proper initial setups to navigating and avoiding longstanding hurdles, Ross finds satisfaction in guiding nonprofit clients through what can often be a confusing process. It’s not just about crunching numbers for him; it’s about understanding the mission behind each organization and supporting the people who drive it. Whether assisting with tax complexities or offering tailored advice, Ross’s work centers on helping nonprofits achieve their goals and make a difference in their communities.

Ross’s ability to connect with clients and his knack for simplifying the complex are only rivaled by his ability to strike a healthy work-life balance. Outside of work, his passion for travel has taken him to many corners of the United States, with National Parks like Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Denali standing out as favorites. A family man at heart, Ross enjoys exploring new spaces and going on adventures with his wife and daughter. When he’s not adventuring, Ross is likely crafting meals at home—snow crab legs being a specialty—or engrossed in a good book. As a board member for his local public library, Ross helps promote a love for reading within his community, underscoring his commitment to making an impact at both professional and personal levels.

Whether he’s providing guidance to nonprofits, sharing his love for the outdoors, or cooking up something delicious for his family, Ross brings purpose and passion to everything he does. His clients and colleagues would agree—he’s the dependable partner you want on your team when it comes time for the heavy lifting.
