Jennifer Elder
CPA | Shareholder
Your very own, exclusive EBP expert (with one great smile), brought to you by Perkins!
Jennifer joined Perkins in 1998 and quickly found her niche in the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) Audit Practice Group, of which she is now the lead shareholder. She works exclusively in the EBP practice area, where her leadership proves instrumental in the growth and development of the practice. Plus, Jennifer sits on the AICPA Technical Standards Enforcement Subcommittee, which supports the AICPA Professional Ethics Division. This committee investigates potential disciplinary matters involving CPAs, including those in audits of employee benefit plans through complaints made to the Department of Labor.
Never afraid to roll up her sleeves and get to work, she continually sharpens her skills and expertise performing both full and limited scope benefit plan audits. Her experience includes managing audit teams for all types of plans: defined contribution, defined benefit and health and welfare plans. She also assists plan administrators and plan sponsors with ERISA compliance and plan operations. In addition to her employee benefits plan experience, Jennifer has significant experience performing corporate audits, reviews and compilations for clients across a wide variety of industries.
Outside the office, Jennifer enjoys setting sail on the Caribbean or taking in a Broadway show in New York. When not off jet setting, she enjoys relaxing at home and working in the garden. Jennifer is the poster child for attitude, whether working on a retirement plan audit or cruising the world, she always has a smile on her face.
