PORTLAND, OR – Perkins & Company, P.C., Portland’s largest locally owned public accounting firm, is excited to announce the promotion of Brigitte Sutherland and Kimberly Woodside from Senior Manager to Shareholder. With Perkins since 2005, Sutherland specializes in working with closely held businesses, particularly in the commercial real estate industry. Woodside started with Perkins in 1991, and is an expert in taxation of Partnerships, S corporations, Limited Liability Companies and business consulting tax services.
A graduate of University of South Florida, Sutherland earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In addition, she earned a Master of Science in Taxation from American University. Active in professional and civic affiliations, Sutherland is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. Currently acting as a national delegate for CREW Portland, she is also President-Elect. When not submersed in her work, Sutherland enjoys running. She’s been a part of Perkins Hood to Coast team and completed two marathons.

Woodside spent two years at Oregon State, graduating from Portland State with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Woodside’s practice is largely concentrated on working with the firm’s real estate and construction clients. She has also served as an interim controller for closely held businesses. Woodside’s professional and civic affiliations include the American Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, PSU Accounting Advisory Board, and the Buildings Owners and Managers Association. A native Oregonian, Woodside spends much of her free time outdoors and attending athletic events with her family.
“Kimberly has been a strong leader in our real estate practice and will continue to demonstrate her leadership skills at the Shareholder level,” stated Debbie Pienovi.
