Gary W. Reynolds was named President of the certified public accounting firm, Perkins & Company, P.C. effective June 10, 2005. Mr. Reynolds, an audit shareholder, was one of the original founders of the 20 year old firm.
Mr. Reynolds has been in public accounting since 1975 and he has extensive audit and accounting experience serving Northwest clients. Prior to assuming his role as president, he was the firm’s Director of Accounting and Auditing. In addition to his leadership and management responsibilities, he continues to provide full service consulting to his clients. These include auditing, tax planning, assisting with mergers and acquisitions, helping chart business strategies, providing guidance for financing and employee stock ownership plans, and other financial advice.
Mr. Reynolds is active in local and national accounting and community organizations. He has served as a member or chairman of numerous committees for the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon State Board of Accountancy and he has been a frequent speaker at local and national accounting conferences. He has been a board member and past Chairman of the Board of Oregon College of Art and Craft, and is a board member of Northwest Business for Culture and the Arts.
Mr. Reynolds graduated from the University of Oregon. He is married to Susan and they have two sons, Paul and John. Perkins & Company is the largest locally-based public accounting firm in the Portland metropolitan area. Clients include both public and closely-held Oregon businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and individuals.
