Perkins & Co Names Three New Shareholders

PORTLAND, OR – Perkins and Company, Oregon’s largest local public accounting firm, has named three new shareholders.

The promotion of Jared Holum, Peter Kwong, and David Uslan creates a total of 12 shareholders, the largest number in the firm’s history. “We have experienced unprecedented growth over the last several years and it is gratifying to be able to promote leaders from within our firm’s outstanding professionals,” comments President Gary Reynolds. “Perkins & Company has a reputation for high shareholder involvement with clients. We are actively developing business and services, and our new shareholders will help continue this growth and assure the longevity of the firm.”

All three of the new shareholders have prior experience working at national accounting firms. Jared Holum, an audit shareholder, spent ten years working for PricewaterhouseCoopers and has held positions as CFO and Controller with large communications and technology organizations in Portland. Mr. Holum is responsible for planning and managing financial statement and operational audits.

Peter Kwong spent ten years at Arthur Andersen. An audit shareholder, he heads the firm’s Risk Management practice and specializes in internal audits and Sarbanes-Oxley Perkins & Company Page 1 of 2 compliance services. His background is in financial reporting and advisory services including reviewing SEC disclosures, external financial statements, SEC registration statements, and other financial related documents. Prior to joining Perkins & Company, he held the position of corporate controller for a large Oregon wholesale grower.

David Uslan, a tax shareholder, has held management positions at the national accounting firms, KPMG and Ernst & Young. He has over 15 years of experience includes domestic and state tax compliance, federal and multi-state tax consulting, and accounting method changes for corporations and partnerships.

The new shareholders join nine others: Gary Reynolds, Jim Jeddeloh, (original founders of the firm), Grant Jones, Tim Kalberg, Pati Schmitt, Christopher Loughran, Lisa Goecke, Debbie Pienovi, and Roy Abramowitz. Perkins & Company, established in 1986, is Portland’s largest local accounting firm.
