Chris arrived at Perkins in 2000, after 10 years of diversified tax responsibilities (with a couple of years of audit thrown in just for fun) at the firm formerly known as Price Waterhouse (PwC) and seven years in corporate tax within private industry at two large companies based in the Portland area. Chris knows plenty about corporate taxation, including mergers and acquisition work, transactional planning, accounting for income taxes, IRS and state audits, and state taxes. Chris’s experience runs deep with the bread-and-butter of Perkins’ clients, medium to large privately owned businesses, and their owners, helping them with issues typical to S corporations and LLC, partnerships.
Chris oversees the Tax Department at Perkins in his spare time (which he enjoys) when he is not serving his clients (which he enjoys even more). Chris was reportedly quite athletic in his youth, and still maintains his competitive streak, at least in golf. His mantra: always do your personal best. Chris’s clients would agree, he walks his talk.
Chris graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1982, adding to the long line of distinguished graduates since 1683, including Thomas Jefferson and The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart.
